On July the 9th Year 8 held a sponsored bike ride on the 22 mile long Camel Trail for the Street Pastors.

A student reports: “We went from Wadebridge to Padstow twice then had lunch and rode back to Wadebridge once more. We went to the top of a hill in Padstow to have lunch and to collect donations. We received a grand total of £21.80, we were amazed!

We chose to raise money for the Street Pastors because they help and care for vulnerable people who are out on the streets at night. We admire the Street Pastors because they go out between 9pm to 5am, while we are tucked up in bed! It is a fact that the Christian Street Pastors make the streets safer for us. Also our community knew very little about them and we thought it would be a good idea to find out more about what they do.

We and Madame Meagher, would like to thank everybody for their kindness and generosity in giving and sponsoring us.

Overall, we raised a total of £1910 .00, we presented this as a cheque when the street pastors visited us.”
